Hi everyone and welcome to my website and blog. For those of you who don’t know me my name is Eddie Whitehead and I am a professional fitness and gym modelling photographer based in Manchester. Over the years I have worked with many people shooting in gyms and studios in Manchester and across the UK.

What to expect from this blog?
Well first of all I will be keeping you guys updated with what/who I am shooting. I have a lot on the cards in 2020 so stay posted as I will be sharing it with you all as it unfolds. I will also be reviewing some of my gear. When I purchased my equipment, I didn’t find that much reading on some of the items and so to give back to the photographic industry and I planning on sharing my experiences with my old school Sigma telephoto prime lenses and my brand new Bowen XMT500 reintroduced by Wex Photographic.

What made you became a photographer?
I never planned on becoming a photographer. Become I went to University in Aberystwyth I receive a camera for my birthday to capture my memories. In my first year I became an event photographer for the Student Union and by the end of my study in my third year I was shooting at the two top nightclubs and was being employed regularly by the biggest events management’s companies in Aberystwyth.

But university came to an end and I needed to get a job and start to fund my day to day living costs. I made an arrangement with a local gym to me called Knutsford Gym providing them with free photographic services in return for gym membership. As time progressed, I got interest from personal trainers and their clients for fitness and gym photoshoots. Seven years on I now find myself
entering my business year of photography with my reach spreading a lot further than Manchester. I love fitness and I love photographer and to be able to marry the two together on a day to day basis is a dream come true.
